Meet Sophie Sharp and Scout

Sophie Sharp riding her bicycle with Scout running beside her

Sophie Sharp is a bright, curious 9-year-old detective from the small town of Maplewood. With her notebook in hand and her loyal partner Scout beside her, Sophie notices the little things other people miss.

Together, Sophie and Scout follow clues, ask questions, test hunches, and piece together evidence one discovery at a time. But they don't solve the mysteries alone.

That's where YOU come in.

Each month, Junior Detectives join Sophie and Scout on a brand-new case — searching for hidden clues, cracking codes, testing their memory, making predictions, and trying to solve the mystery before Sophie does.

Tara Blooms, creator of Sophie Sharp Mysteries, smiling in front of a painting

Hi, I'm Tara!

I grew up before smartphones — riding bikes, climbing trees, and with my nose buried in every Trixie Belden and Nancy Drew book I could find, imagining my own neighborhood mysteries to solve.

I still love a good mystery today, and I wanted to build something for today's kids that asks them to actually think. So every month, one complete case arrives in the mail — and your child isn't just reading along. They're the Junior Detective on the case with Sophie & Scout.

My hope is that every case file brings the same thrill I felt turning those pages — and the very best question of all: can you solve it before Sophie does?

Happy sleuthing!
